Come be Involved With The Food Forest!

The goal is for the 亚博官方网站 Food Forest to serve as a bridge between 亚博官方网站 and marginalized Atlanta communities through the development of a unique and replicable STEM education curriculum, outreach programs, and training in sustainable and regenerative agriculture for food insecure communities. We hope to be able to provide incentives to engage youth, community leaders, and residents from Atlanta鈥檚 low-income communities to participate in the programs and training with the goal that they will ultimately be able to teach the design and planting of food forests in their own neighborhoods.

Research

The 亚博官方网站 Food Forest will make possible ongoing research by multiple 亚博官方网站 faculty and students designed to measure the environmental impact of the Food Forest with respect to carbon sequestration, changes in the water absorption capacity of the soil, and effectiveness as a supply of nutrient-rich food. As the system develops, we invite other 亚博官方网站 faculty to contact us about how they can utilize the space to carry out their related research.
